All About Me Bride To Be

We are deeply appreciative to Joseph Flores for the wedding ceremony that he custom crafted for us. From the first moment we contacted Joseph, he has demonstrated generosity and an uncommonly enormous heart. In fact, this is what made him stand out among the other officiants that we interviewed. However, we hired him based on his love for what he does, commitment to us, and the trust he inspired in us. These qualities were evident by the time he took to get to know us, answer questions, read my blog, go out of his way to get a diagram of the venue, visit the venue and take pictures, lead our families through a great rehearsal ceremony, and support us as we decided how to handle our vows. Throughout all of our dealings Joseph was always on time, always returned phone calls, and I could always tell that he had prepared in advance.

For someone so organized, I was surprised that Joseph is also relaxed, open, and flexible. As a result, we felt at ease, which meant a great deal to us since we planned our wedding from Washington DC.

An obvious strength is Joseph’s ability to write a beautiful ceremony. This is where his big heart and generosity come into play because I’m convinced that these qualities show in his prose. The ceremony was a beautiful mixture of laughter and sentiment that connected us to each other and to all of our guests. Joseph also helped us find meaningful ways to recognize those who couldn’t be there and connect us with our guests. He mentioned by name the people that introduced us, wove in details of our engagement, made jokes about our quirks, and gave a heartfelt welcome to all. Two months after the wedding guests still comment what a special ceremony it was and how much they enjoyed it.

The only thing I regret is not hiring Joseph for more. We hired him to organize the rehearsal (a must), and conduct the ceremony (a must). Based on how helpful he was for the ceremony, I know now that hiring for other services would have been great especially the day of. In fact, the hotel that hosted our wedding had a coordinator (included in the package), but if I had it to do over again, I would gladly pay for more of Joseph's time.

Hello Joseph,

Words can not truly express how we feel about the service that Joseph Flores provided for my Husband and I. We are so grateful for his thoughtfulness and all the help he provided to us through out the planning process. My wedding was held at Hotel Alsace and the ceremony was supposed to be outside but due to the weather we had to have it inside. I was so upset all the way up until the ceremony because of the moment. When Joseph started speaking he made everyone forget about the rain and the adjustments we had to make. With his humor, beautiful words and presence we could not have been happier. We wanted someone who would write a ceremony unique to us and he made the ceremony unique from beginning to end. He truly exceeded every one of our expectations and for that we are grateful.

My husband and I recently attended my daughter's wedding in San Antonio, Texas, where the ceremony was officiated by Pastor Joseph Flores.  My daughter could not have selected a better person to have conducted this ceremony!  From his warm handshake, to his gentle and humorous words, to his caring presence...he was like a family member (actually better in some cases!!).  Pastor Flores' message transcended all denominations and cultures.  His eloquent message touched appropriately on our families and how special each one of us is in the whole picture.  He included a very special part in the service to acknowledge my granddaughter as part of this marital union.  It was also very unique and special when he invited the bride and groom's family members to come up to the gazeebo and extend their hands out to send blessings and love to the wedding couple.  Following the ceremony, Pastor Flores stayed and talked with all of us, which was so much appreciated.

Working with Joseph Flores was a sheer delight. He made my clients feel comfortable during the initial meeting and continued to do so up until he presided over their wedding. He gets to know a little something about the couple to make sure he captures the love they have one for another to incorporate in his message during the ceremony. He keeps it simple, but you definetly feel the love and the true presence of God blessing the marriage.

When planning our wedding, Thom and I knew that the minister was going to be one of the most important choices we had to make. After meeting Joseph Flores, we were immediately comfortable with allowing his expertise and flexibility to become such a vital part of our ceremony. He took the time to get to know us individually and as a couple, which made our ceremony more personal than we could have imagined. He worked with the requests we made, kept the ceremony serious when needed, and lightened it up just as well. I hope you will accept my apology for taking so long to get you these pictures! It's been 6 months since you married my husband, Peter, and I, and things are going great. We are as happy as ever, maybe even more so. I also wanted to let you know my family is still talking about how lovely the ceremony you performed was, and they are asking how I found you. I always refer them to your website. They are usually surprised to hear that I contacted you through the internet, and it was a last minute arrangement, since they were so impressed with you. We are so appreciative and grateful for having met Joseph Flores and having him officiate our wedding. From the beginning, he was so kind and helpful to us. He corresponded with us by email for a few months before we even had a personal meeting because we lived out of town. Once we met and we discussed all of our options, we knew right away that he was the perfect person to marry us. We wanted a personal wedding tailored to us and our personalities and that’s exactly what we got. We are constantly getting compliments from our friends and family saying that it was the best wedding reception they had ever been to. We chose to have Pastor Flores as our Day of Coordinator as well, and we are so thankful to have had him there during the reception helping us out. When I was struggling to complete my last minute tasks and was about to scrap it all, he came to the rescue and calmly and quickly helped me complete it. He stayed at the venue helping pack up after my Husband and I left and didn’t leave until everything was finished and our families were leaving! Pastor Flores was a wonderful Officiant, and went above and beyond the call of duty. We are so thankful to have had him marry us, and now we are thankful to have him as a friend.
